Class Descriptions
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Vinyasa is the Sanskrit word meaning “flow”. In our Vinyasa class we focus on flowing through a sequence of postures corodinating the movement with the breath or pranayama. This marriage between breath and body movement is what encourages the meditative state of yoga practice.
Vinyasa Yoga incorporates multiple styles of yoga. Often times a vinyasa class will include Surya Namaskar A and B also known as Sun Salutation A and B from the Ashtanga sequence. There are also similar themes of alignment from Iyengar in the practice as well as inclusion of restorative or “yin” yoga.
If you are looking for a balance of a good workout and relaxation vinyasa yoga should be a good fit for you. All levels can attend a vinyasa class.

The session will start with relaxation and breathing exercises to quieten and focus the mind, followed by a warming flow sequence and various asanas coordinated with the breath that will help you to find more space within your body and mind. The class will finish with a total body relaxation, where the body will take in all the energy generated during the practice.

Kundalini Yoga with Patricia
Kundalini Yoga can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter his or her age or physical ability.
It is true that nowadays we have hundreds of types of yoga, some dedicated to physical workout (Bikram), some to the mind (Raja), or even devotion (Karma). Kundalini Yoga is a bit of all, but with an emphasis in consciousness that activates energy throughout the body. During this 90 minute class with a combination of asanas (postures) and breathing techniques all the body is transformed into a new one: muscles, joints, organs and glands. We let all the toxins go as well as the information of the past that was stocked in our body. We feel fresh and healthy as we are building new organs and also a new body. Past habits leave while new ones are growing. So through the workout of our physical body we work also our organic, energetic and spiritual body.
